Happy Monday, SiStaZ! I'm back from my road trip~ had a blast catching up with old friends and family! I'm a bit behind in my challenges, but am working hard to catch up! I love that this challenge thing is now twisting into scraplifting from each other! What an amazing thing we are doing here! Have a super week!!

Challenge 07a - Event

*We all have pumpkin patch pics stashed somewhere... make it simple... pull them out and recreate the page!
*What about the "right" .... Christmas tree? furniture for your living room? color for you kitchen walls? outfit for a special event? gift for someone else? house for your family? Document it ladies!

Challenge 07b - Feelings
*You KNOW I love this title... I will recreate it with some KR pics, of course!!
*You can turn this simple "sketch" into a layout for any pictures... that paper behind the title looks like inked notebook paper~ what about a school layout documenting your child on the honor roll?? pics of your sweetie and a story of something wonderful he has done for you or your family??

Gooooooo SiStaZ!

Challenge 06a - EVENTS*This is only a "one" page spread, but could easily be made into a two pager.
*Document a holiday in each month.
*If you have more than one child, do one child on one page and one on the other.

Challenge 06b - FEELINGS
*Family? Friends? Childhood friends? College friends? Work crew? Medical "crew" when having a child? Get creative with documenting a "crew" in your life... a constant crew or a temporary crew that had am impact on you or your family?
*Change the title to match the pics you pick!

Happy Scrapping, my friends!

Happy Monday, my scrapper friends! We seemed to have fizzled a bit this week (Go Heather & Aim)... I know I have my project in the works, but couldn't quite make the deadline tonight, but still plan to finish Challenge 04 (love the layouts!). I want to stay on track... soooooo here is Challenge 05!! Have a scrappy great week!

Challenge 05a - Events
* Oh, I have the best Christmas pictures of my siblings and me meeting the big guy... they will be perfect!
*Do you have photos of your children meeting Disney characters... or some other animated character at a theme park??
*How about your husband holding one of your children for the first time??
*How about your parents or a grandma holding one of your children for the first time?
*How about your parents holding YOU for the first time??

Challenge 05b - Feelings

* Obvious choice... your husband/boyfriend/significant other...
* How about "This Dog"... or "This Car"... or "This Room"... or "This Kitchen"... or "This Store"... or "This Book"... anyone or anything that moves you...
* That title could be letter stickers... Cricut... chipboard... computer generated...hand drawn... use your eyelets or brads to bullet
* How about using a childhood picture of you or your husband and journaling about some or one great accomplishment in your life!

My mind is flooded with ideas...

Feeling good ladies! So happy that we are getting pages done... here is this week's challenge... Be sure to post a comment when you are done... remember, if you haven't completed previous layouts, and you would like to, feel free to and I'll still link them! Let's go SiSTaZ!

Challenge 04a - Events

*This is simple, but elegant layout... this looks like the background paper has the illusion of torn paper... you can tear your own.
*I see a heart in place of the flower
*I see seven pictures of an event with my girlfriends and/or sisters or aunts or grandma

Challenge 04b - Feelings*Get those circle cutters out... you can also do this digitally (Kendrea... a tutorial would be fantastic miss tech genius!). Circles are a break from the constant square/rectangle norm!
*Love that there are 4 pictures on this single page layout... if you'd like to add more just put another two across the bottom
*Notice the sewing around the circle... you could use a paper piercer & floss to get the same look... or you could use your piercer and a white gel pen to get the look of sewing.
*Tie ribbon at the bottom or you could use a pattern paper strip.
*You could use this for any type of relationship... parent/child, husband/wife, child/grandparent, child/child

What a GREAT start to our scrapbook challenge!! I loved looking at everyone's posts. If you want to see
them check this link and click on each name. The link will take you to each person's completed project! Love the motivation here!!

Once again, I am including two possible ideas. Choose one, or do both! It's up to you!

Challenge 02a
- Event

*Notice the two different pattern papers in the background and they are two different shades of blue
*Notice the complimentary colors... blue with a tad of red
*Notice you could put up to 11 pictures on this page!!
*Use it as a template for ANY event... a birthday party, a Boy Scout event, a dance recital... you name it! It's a great two-page spread for that event(s) that you have a lot of great pictures from and can't narrow it down to a few!

Challenge 02b - Feelings

* Take the time to have a conversation with a grandparent, parent, friend, or child. Dig deep (as we say at work to better understand where someone's opinion is coming from!). Ask about their childhood... their parents... go for something that you didn't know!
* Change the title to "You Should Know" and address the journaling to your child(ren) and tell them something about YOU... your childhood... your job... your marriage... OR use the same title and write about your husband... your parents... your extended family... about them (your child(ren).
*Explain why you do one particular thing as a family
*Tell where a holiday tradition came from...
* Change the title to "A Note From Mom" and write...
*Change the title to "A Love Letter to You" and write...

I CANNOT wait to see your creations! HAVE FUN!!

HEERREEE WE GOOO! In an effort to meet the needs of the whole group I've chosen two layout challenges. You only need to choose ONE to create your layout from or you can challenge yourself further and do both. Totally up to YOU! When you are finished with your layout(s) leave a message on this post and upload it to your blog (or email a picture to me if you don't have a blog and I'll post it here!). I'll add the link to this post! I can't wait to see everyone's creations!

Challenge 01a - Event
The holidays have recently ended, so why not get a jump start on a 2008 Christmas layout (or a 1999 layout if that's where you are!) using the one below as a guide. Below the picture are some other ideas! {FYI... if you click on the picture it will get bigger... want to make sure you know that. :) }
Other ideas:
1. Use 7 photos of any other holiday or event and use this as a template to create a two page spread.
2. Use a combination of your Cricut and letter stickers (or stamps) for the title! Could be "Halloween at the Park" or "Soccer at Clintonwood Park" or "Biking in the Rocky Mountains" or "Tina's Birthday at Clarkston Cafe"... you get it!
3. Use a combination of patterned paper and solid cardstock to create the background.
4. Use ribbon instead of the scalloped edges or in addition to the scalloped edges.
5. Use other embellishments instead of the Christmas ornaments to go with your theme.
6. Handwrite the journaling or type in on the computer... then "mat" it and add it to the page.
7. Or just use the "background" idea and totally rearrange the photos!

Challenge 01b - Feelings
I love this layout idea! Write a letter to someone or something praising them for an accomplishment or explaining why you love or appreciate them/it! Love the big cozy chair in your living room where you snuggle with your children and read... take a picture and write a letter to it documenting. Maybe you simply cannot live without a cup of coffee each morning from your Mr. Coffee machine... snap a picture and write a letter explaining its importance in your daily routine! Maybe your son/daughter overcame a difficult situation at school or on a team... document it! Here's a funny one.... maybe write this letter to a part of your body (pictures could be of a piece of exercise equipment, the place where you work out, the room you work out it, or the DVDs you use!)The sky is the limit! Other ideas below the picture...

Other ideas:
1. Grab your child's spiral bound notebook, tear out a page, and write that letter! Adhere to the page with adhesive!
2. Use your chipboard letters for the title... or how about that Cricut again??
3. Use more than one picture on the layout... may 3 different shots going down the side instead of one big one.
4. Have one of your children (or all of them and layer them on the layout) write a letter to their father about the impact he has on their lives or why they appreciate him (or have them tell you and you scribe it for them!).
5. Ask your husband to write a letter to you (without you looking over his shoulder) for this project... how fun to get their perspective of your marriage/relationship right now!

Of course, put YOUR OWN twist on this... they are your family's memories!I simply CANNOT wait to see your creations!!! or my own truthfully! :) Have a blast ladies!! Hold your glass up! CHEERS!
