What a GREAT start to our scrapbook challenge!! I loved looking at everyone's posts. If you want to see
them check this link and click on each name. The link will take you to each person's completed project! Love the motivation here!!

Once again, I am including two possible ideas. Choose one, or do both! It's up to you!

Challenge 02a
- Event

*Notice the two different pattern papers in the background and they are two different shades of blue
*Notice the complimentary colors... blue with a tad of red
*Notice you could put up to 11 pictures on this page!!
*Use it as a template for ANY event... a birthday party, a Boy Scout event, a dance recital... you name it! It's a great two-page spread for that event(s) that you have a lot of great pictures from and can't narrow it down to a few!

Challenge 02b - Feelings

* Take the time to have a conversation with a grandparent, parent, friend, or child. Dig deep (as we say at work to better understand where someone's opinion is coming from!). Ask about their childhood... their parents... go for something that you didn't know!
* Change the title to "You Should Know" and address the journaling to your child(ren) and tell them something about YOU... your childhood... your job... your marriage... OR use the same title and write about your husband... your parents... your extended family... about them (your child(ren).
*Explain why you do one particular thing as a family
*Tell where a holiday tradition came from...
* Change the title to "A Note From Mom" and write...
*Change the title to "A Love Letter to You" and write...

I CANNOT wait to see your creations! HAVE FUN!!

HEERREEE WE GOOO! In an effort to meet the needs of the whole group I've chosen two layout challenges. You only need to choose ONE to create your layout from or you can challenge yourself further and do both. Totally up to YOU! When you are finished with your layout(s) leave a message on this post and upload it to your blog (or email a picture to me if you don't have a blog and I'll post it here!). I'll add the link to this post! I can't wait to see everyone's creations!

Challenge 01a - Event
The holidays have recently ended, so why not get a jump start on a 2008 Christmas layout (or a 1999 layout if that's where you are!) using the one below as a guide. Below the picture are some other ideas! {FYI... if you click on the picture it will get bigger... want to make sure you know that. :) }
Other ideas:
1. Use 7 photos of any other holiday or event and use this as a template to create a two page spread.
2. Use a combination of your Cricut and letter stickers (or stamps) for the title! Could be "Halloween at the Park" or "Soccer at Clintonwood Park" or "Biking in the Rocky Mountains" or "Tina's Birthday at Clarkston Cafe"... you get it!
3. Use a combination of patterned paper and solid cardstock to create the background.
4. Use ribbon instead of the scalloped edges or in addition to the scalloped edges.
5. Use other embellishments instead of the Christmas ornaments to go with your theme.
6. Handwrite the journaling or type in on the computer... then "mat" it and add it to the page.
7. Or just use the "background" idea and totally rearrange the photos!

Challenge 01b - Feelings
I love this layout idea! Write a letter to someone or something praising them for an accomplishment or explaining why you love or appreciate them/it! Love the big cozy chair in your living room where you snuggle with your children and read... take a picture and write a letter to it documenting. Maybe you simply cannot live without a cup of coffee each morning from your Mr. Coffee machine... snap a picture and write a letter explaining its importance in your daily routine! Maybe your son/daughter overcame a difficult situation at school or on a team... document it! Here's a funny one.... maybe write this letter to a part of your body (pictures could be of a piece of exercise equipment, the place where you work out, the room you work out it, or the DVDs you use!)The sky is the limit! Other ideas below the picture...

Other ideas:
1. Grab your child's spiral bound notebook, tear out a page, and write that letter! Adhere to the page with adhesive!
2. Use your chipboard letters for the title... or how about that Cricut again??
3. Use more than one picture on the layout... may 3 different shots going down the side instead of one big one.
4. Have one of your children (or all of them and layer them on the layout) write a letter to their father about the impact he has on their lives or why they appreciate him (or have them tell you and you scribe it for them!).
5. Ask your husband to write a letter to you (without you looking over his shoulder) for this project... how fun to get their perspective of your marriage/relationship right now!

Of course, put YOUR OWN twist on this... they are your family's memories!I simply CANNOT wait to see your creations!!! or my own truthfully! :) Have a blast ladies!! Hold your glass up! CHEERS!
