ScRaP SiStaZ - Challenge 24

Holy Toledo, Batman!  I am current with the Challenges... and the MESS in my scrapbook room proves it! LOL!

I almost forgot how much I love scrapbooking.  It is very therapeutic for me.  I get in a zone and forget about the rest of life's stresses. It's a great creative outlet... and a great stress reliever. I realize I have to make time to get in my room and get messy or it just won't happen. If I wait until all of life's responsibilities are caught up (like I have been doing for the last year) it will never happen. So, I'm trying to make a date with myself no less than once every two weeks (I am hopeful it will happen more often) to do some paper cutting, photo printing, tape running, and memory reminiscing and documenting... I hope more of you will join me!  Get these Challenges started... I promise it will bring back your scrapbooking Mo-Jo!!

Challenge 24 is below! Let's get into the spirit of the holidays! Due Monday, November 7!

We all have a million Christmas photos locked away that are screaming, "Get me out of these boxes or off of this computer!"  I really like this two-page spread... particularly that large 10x10ish picture on the left. Pick out one of your favorite Christmas photos, upload it to your favorite photo developer, choose 10x10 or 11x11, and wah-la (or should I say Fa-la-la-la-la)! The left side of your layout is done!

Let's get it done, ladies!  Oh, and don't forget to check out the new linked masterpieces in the two previous Challenge's comments... ahem... they are mine. LOL!)  Happy Scrapbooking!

ScRaP SisTaZ - Challenge 23

Happy October, SiStaZ!

How about this weather?! Those Lions?! Those Tigers?!  All are amazing me right now!  It's amazing how nice weather and winning sport teams can put positive energy into the air... everywhere!!  There is definitely a buzz at my workplace... there must be at yours, too, whether it is a formal job or your job at "home". I'm sure there is a buzz among your children and definitely with your significant other!

Anywhoo... on to the Scrapbook Challenge... a big rock star high-five goes out to Chris!! She is the only one who finished her page on time! Not only did she finish her page, she created and learned how to blog!! Go, Chris! So proud of you!  Be sure to check out her page on Challenge 22.  I hope to be the next who is finished... are any of you frantically working on yours, too? I am about half-way through my Challenge 22 creation.  I'm scrapping pictures that have been on my counter for, oh, I don't know, three months!  Feels good to be working with them... they are some of my recent favorites! Should be able to finish up and post no later than tomorrow. Yay!

Here is Challenge 23:

What caught my eye on this page?  The journaling.  It immediately reminded me of the woman who blogged or did a video series (can't remember which) wherein she shared the importance of, and her commitment to, creating pages with letters to her children.  Heath? Aim? Kim? Can you help me out?  A link, maybe?  We all read/watched her presentation. I believe she shared her mother had passed when she was young and she have very few mementos to remember her, which is why she shared the importance of "writing to your children."  This layout reminded me of her lesson.  So, all of you moms out there... sit down, write a letter to your child(ren). It can be a simple message or life advice you'd like to share.  How about a story from your childhood? A favorite memory of them? Or something cute or funny they have done recently? Heath, you should have several stories to record... especially from the O-ster! Don't be afraid to add more than one picture... tell the "picture" story behind your journaling, if possible. Or keep it simple.  Whatever works for you. Just write your little (or big) girl/guys a letter!  Can't wait to smile, giggle, or wipe a tear after reading your great journaling!

Get scrapping!
