ScRaP SiStaZ Challenge 10

COMPLETED LAYOUTS

Heather (b)

So Sorry, SiStaZ! My internet has been down... finally working tonight! Here are this week's challenges...

CHALLENGE 10a - EVENT

* Love the number of pictures on this page
* Also love that a few of the pictures were printed with white borders (built in "mat")
* Notice the handwritten journaling... this could also be turned into a typed journaling block
*Background paper is simple, but I think you could do a print since the rest of the layout is pretty simple

CHALLENGE 10B - FEELINGS

*Notice the two different scallop sizes... can't wait to see what you guys do with this... get those Cricuts going!!
* I like that they are "random funny" facts about me... there are a ton of "about me" pages out there, but this focuses on a different aspect of "me"
*If you don't want to do a page about yourself it could always be random-funny things about ANYONE in your life~

I will get the links to last weeks posts connected soon. I am at a conference in Detroit the next two days, have class tomorrow night, Stamp Camp Friday night (can't wait!), and big project for doctoral class work to do with my partner all day Saturday... Saturday night and Sunday is catch up days! :) Have a fantastic rest of the week!

HAPPY SPRING
, ladies! I hope this nice(r) weather is an indication that warm, sunny days are in our near future! Today I opened my sunroof and enjoyed the sounds of traffic as I drove home... that's when you know you have spring fever... the sound of traffic is enjoyable because you FINALLY get to put the windows down or open the sunroof! It also sparked a topic for a scrapbook page... documenting the feelings of those first spring moments would be a perfect way to reflect back each year~ snap a few photos of you and your family members, ask them what their favorite part of spring is, and incorporate them into this week's challenges!

CHALLENGE 09a - EVENTS

*Simple title---chipboard letters, Cricut, letter stickers... use those supplies! The title could be ANYTHING... spring.... summer.... fall... happy.... a$hole... just kidding... got your attention though, didn't I!?! LOL!
*Journaling strips... type your journaling, print it out, cut it into strips, and adhere. simple!
*Love how a minimum of EIGHT photos will fit on these pages... you do have to do some measuring to crop them. You could fit more if you stacked two instead of just one on each slot.

CHALLENGE 09b - FEELINGS

*How appropriate is this layout for spring??
*Thinking this would be a great title/page for a brother/sister layout... or perhaps and mother/daughter or father/son page, or a girlfriends page... oh! how about a page with a picture of childhood friends then & now... perfectly fits the theme that "we stick together."
*This is an 8.5x11 page... mix it up a bit, if you dare, in your scrapbooks!

I'm off to enjoy our first grilled dinner of the year!
Cheers to new creations~!

Howdy SiStaZ! I cannot believe it's Week 08! Sorry I am a bit late... Derek and I had to grocery shop.... really grocery shop last night... Sam's Club, Meijer, etc., in order to fill the fridge with more than a bottle of mustard! LOL! Then, at the last minute, I had the opportunity to spend a few late evening hours with my parents. I had to take the opportunity because, with them living up north, it's tough to find a few hours to spend time together. It was fun... we watched the last episode of The Bachelor with them and my sister. HILARIOUS to listen to my dad's humorous comments about the show (he has never watched it before and was quite entertained with the concept! LOL!

I am plugging along with the challenges (in between reorganizing!!! my scrapbook room!). Love these challenges....love that when I have a few minutes to scrapbook I am focused... I have a goal in my... and don't aimlessly look through idea books and magazines because I already have pages to refer to (yours and the actual challenges!). Keep up the amazing work... ;)

Challenge 08a - Event
This is a little less "simple" than previous Challenges, but I like that it looks "clean." I really like the numbered list for journaling and it looks like they used rubber stamps for some of it... which I (we) have a ton of! A few ideas that come to mind for page topics...
1. Scrap Sistaz Scrap Program
2. Documenting my college classes (Education Specialist Program)
3. Could be your program of... applying for a job... being a stay-at-home-mom... a manager at work... your book club... your child's movie collection... your husband's movie collection... how about your Tivo list... or your IPod list...

Challenge 08b - Feelings
Love the circles on this page... simple, but cute. It would be a great way to use up those scraps (if you keep them).
1. Why not document a nickname you have for... your significant other.... child... pet... other family member.... car (I remember my grandma used to call her car "Ole Betsey")
2. Dig out and dust off those old punches... I think replacing the circles with hearts or stars or some other fun punch shape would be cool... or maybe your could use a die cut from one of your cutting systems?!?

Have a scraptabulous week ladies!!

Happy Monday, SiStaZ! I'm back from my road trip~ had a blast catching up with old friends and family! I'm a bit behind in my challenges, but am working hard to catch up! I love that this challenge thing is now twisting into scraplifting from each other! What an amazing thing we are doing here! Have a super week!!

Challenge 07a - Event

*We all have pumpkin patch pics stashed somewhere... make it simple... pull them out and recreate the page!
*What about the "right" .... Christmas tree? furniture for your living room? color for you kitchen walls? outfit for a special event? gift for someone else? house for your family? Document it ladies!

Challenge 07b - Feelings
*You KNOW I love this title... I will recreate it with some KR pics, of course!!
*You can turn this simple "sketch" into a layout for any pictures... that paper behind the title looks like inked notebook paper~ what about a school layout documenting your child on the honor roll?? pics of your sweetie and a story of something wonderful he has done for you or your family??

Gooooooo SiStaZ!

Challenge 06a - EVENTS*This is only a "one" page spread, but could easily be made into a two pager.
*Document a holiday in each month.
*If you have more than one child, do one child on one page and one on the other.

Challenge 06b - FEELINGS
*Family? Friends? Childhood friends? College friends? Work crew? Medical "crew" when having a child? Get creative with documenting a "crew" in your life... a constant crew or a temporary crew that had am impact on you or your family?
*Change the title to match the pics you pick!

Happy Scrapping, my friends!

Happy Monday, my scrapper friends! We seemed to have fizzled a bit this week (Go Heather & Aim)... I know I have my project in the works, but couldn't quite make the deadline tonight, but still plan to finish Challenge 04 (love the layouts!). I want to stay on track... soooooo here is Challenge 05!! Have a scrappy great week!

Challenge 05a - Events
* Oh, I have the best Christmas pictures of my siblings and me meeting the big guy... they will be perfect!
*Do you have photos of your children meeting Disney characters... or some other animated character at a theme park??
*How about your husband holding one of your children for the first time??
*How about your parents or a grandma holding one of your children for the first time?
*How about your parents holding YOU for the first time??

Challenge 05b - Feelings

* Obvious choice... your husband/boyfriend/significant other...
* How about "This Dog"... or "This Car"... or "This Room"... or "This Kitchen"... or "This Store"... or "This Book"... anyone or anything that moves you...
* That title could be letter stickers... Cricut... chipboard... computer generated...hand drawn... use your eyelets or brads to bullet
* How about using a childhood picture of you or your husband and journaling about some or one great accomplishment in your life!

My mind is flooded with ideas...

Feeling good ladies! So happy that we are getting pages done... here is this week's challenge... Be sure to post a comment when you are done... remember, if you haven't completed previous layouts, and you would like to, feel free to and I'll still link them! Let's go SiSTaZ!

Challenge 04a - Events

*This is simple, but elegant layout... this looks like the background paper has the illusion of torn paper... you can tear your own.
*I see a heart in place of the flower
*I see seven pictures of an event with my girlfriends and/or sisters or aunts or grandma

Challenge 04b - Feelings*Get those circle cutters out... you can also do this digitally (Kendrea... a tutorial would be fantastic miss tech genius!). Circles are a break from the constant square/rectangle norm!
*Love that there are 4 pictures on this single page layout... if you'd like to add more just put another two across the bottom
*Notice the sewing around the circle... you could use a paper piercer & floss to get the same look... or you could use your piercer and a white gel pen to get the look of sewing.
*Tie ribbon at the bottom or you could use a pattern paper strip.
*You could use this for any type of relationship... parent/child, husband/wife, child/grandparent, child/child
